How long will a refinished bathtub and ceramic tile last?

With proper care and maintenance, a refinished surface should last 10 to 15 years. We provide a written warranty and care instructions immediately after the job is finished.

How durable are refinished bathtub?

These finishes are designed to stand up to daily use and do not require special care. However, like a newly manufactured bathtub, a refinished surface can be chipped or scratched if it is abused.

How long does it take to refinish a bathtub?

A standard size bathtub, in reasonable condition, takes 2 days; day one only 4 to 6 hours to refinish, day two about an hour. The bathtub will typically be ready to use within 48 hours.

Is it possible to have a fiberglass enclosure refinished?

Yes. Gel coat, acrylic and Vikrell bathtubs can also be refinished. 

My fiberglass enclosure has a large crack in it. Is it ruined or can it be repaired?

It is not necessarily ruined and in most cases it can be repaired. We can install permanent inlays and can repair mostly any type of damage in any area of the bathtub.

I heard some companies claim they use porcelain in their coating, is this possible?

False! There isn’t a process in the refinishing industry that can spray porcelain on your bathtub. Porcelain must be kiln fired at over 2500 degrees. Beware of companies claiming to do so, it is simply impossible.

How does refinishing work on kitchen counter tops?

Formica, Corian and tile countertops can all be updated and made to look like new with our refinishing process. Our stone accent look finish is especially attractive and durable. Our countertop finishes come in a variety of colors, and are easy to clean, but are all significantly lower in cost compared to replacement.
